Chubb electronic lock conversion
Customer had this lovely well looked after safe but due to failing eyesight was having trouble reliably dialing the combination in.
One quick call later and we were able to offer a solution, which was to convert it to an electronic lock.
The client also expressed an interest of not having to keep replacing batteries on an annual basis which lead us to fitting a lock that works on kinetic energy allevating the need for batteries.
This quality Chubb safe was locked out on a catastrophic failure of the bolt work mechanism. With exceptionally tough barrier materials and the need to figure out what was stopping the safe opening, meant that wasting holes was not only going to be soul destroying, but hard work.
We managed to put a precision hole in the right place to overcome the issue and open the unit without anything more than a good amount of drill bits and lot of exerted energy.
The isolator bolt work was removed and taken back to the workshop to be repaired.
Once repaired it was returned back to site to reinstall, leaving the customer secure and extremely grateful that a new safe wasn’t required.
